Rights & License
Last updated: June 16, 2026
SF6 Sensei is a fan-made, unofficial and non-commercial project with no affiliation or relationship to Capcom Co., Ltd. This page explains the source, license, and handling of rights for the data, along with the measures we take.
1. Status of the frame data
- What this Service handles is factual information — the numbers (frame data) measured in-game. Facts such as game mechanics and numbers are generally understood not to be subject to copyright (the U.S. Copyright Office states that "the idea for a game, its rules, methods, and systems are not protected by copyright"; Japanese law has no clear precedent).
- That said, following industry custom (as with frame data wikis like Dustloop and Mizuumi), we treat the rights to the game's content as belonging to their respective rights holders.
2. Capcom's rights and the measures we take
"Street Fighter," character names, move names, and other names and elements related to the game are trademarks or copyrighted works of Capcom Co., Ltd. The Service respects the spirit of Capcom's guidelines and takes the following measures.
- Stating it is unaffiliated and unofficial: the Service has no affiliation or relationship with Capcom and is not endorsed by it.
- Non-commercial: the Service is not monetized. There is no advertising, billing, or paywall.
- No game assets: no game images, audio, sprites, or other assets are used. Character and move names are used solely for identification and reference.
- Responding to takedown requests: upon a legitimate request from a rights holder, we will promptly delete or correct the content in question.
3. Data source and CC-BY-SA
The frame data is sourced from the SuperCombo Wiki, used under the terms of Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA).
- Source (original work): SuperCombo Wiki — Street Fighter 6 Frame Data
(data is fetched via the same operator's API at
srk.shib.live) - License: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA). creativecommons.org (the exact version follows the SuperCombo Wiki's notice)
- Statement of changes: the Service modifies the original data by removing wiki markup, structuring it into JSON, converting and normalizing frame values into numbers, and adding Japanese move names and aliases.
- ShareAlike: the frame data the Service provides is offered under the same CC-BY-SA as the source. When redistributing, maintain attribution, the license notice, the statement of changes, and inheritance under the same license.
Each MCP response also includes the source (source / license / fetch date), so attribution can be traced when quoting an answer.
4. Trademarks
Product, service, and company names mentioned on this page and in the Service are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. The Service uses them solely for identification and does not represent the respective rights holders.
